Overview
Are you passionate about media production and want to learn what it takes to run a professional studio? National CORE is offering a Production Studio Management Internship — a hands-on, paid opportunity designed to teach you the behind-the-scenes operations of a modern production environment.
Over the course of 10 weeks, you’ll work directly with our Production Studio Manager and Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Communications to gain practical experience in lighting, audio, camera systems, and podcast production inside our fully equipped studio.
This internship is a great starting point for anyone interested in careers in media production, studio management, or digital communications.
What You’ll Learn
Core Training Areas:
Video camera setup, operation, and basic maintenance
Audio equipment handling and sound management
Studio cable setup and environmental organization
Lighting setup for various recording environments
Multi-camera switching and program coordination
Introduction to broadcast graphics
Basic video editing and social media optimization
Advanced Topics (for returning or experienced interns):
Advanced camera techniques
Sophisticated lighting and audio design
Graphic overlays and branding integration
High-level editing workflows
You’ll also gain a working understanding of:

Work Schedule & Environment
Part-time: 12 hours per week for 10 weeks
Flexible hours, coordinated with the Studio Manager and AVP of Marketing
Mandatory in-person attendance for onboarding and select scheduled events
Primarily sedentary work in a professional studio environment
Moderate lifting (up to 20 lbs) and occasional driving for off-site assignments may be required
Eligibility & Hiring Process
Must be eligible to work in California
Must pass a comprehensive background check (including an additional check for working with minors or vulnerable populations, if applicable)
All offers are contingent upon successful clearance
Compensation & Duration
$23.50–$24.00/hour, depending on experience
Non-exempt, temporary position
Fully funded through a grant valid from April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2027
Internship may be repeated once for those advancing in skill level
No guarantee of employment beyond the funded period
